These fun inspirational tokens can be tucked in a backpack or hidden in a coat pocket for instant motivation. They make a perfect gift or an ornament too!

YOU WILL NEED:
- Kunin® Classic™ Felt Craft Cuts 9” by 12” Red, Orange, Yellow, Pirate Green, Brilliant Blue, Orchid
- Poly-Fil® Premium Polyester Fiber Fill from Fairfield™
- Straight Pins
- Coats & Clark Embroidery Floss – Black, Red, Orange, Yellow, Green, Blue, Purple
- Embroidery Needle
- Cardstock – White
- Corner Rounder
- Hole Punch
- Baker’s Twine – Black and White
- Scissors
- YOU ARE A STAR PATTERNS & TAGS
INSTRUCTIONS:
To begin the You Are a Star Pocket Pals, gather all supplies. Download and print out the You Are a Star Pocket Pal Patterns. Secure the Star pattern onto Red Kunin® Classic™ Felt with a straight pin and cut out with scissors.
Add a dot to the top point of each Star shape, so when you pair up the patterns they will match perfectly.
Secure the Star pattern onto Orange, Yellow, Pirate Green, Brilliant Blue, and Orchid Kunin® Classic™ Felt with straight pins. Carefully cut out all patterns with scissors.
Thread all six strands of black embroidery floss onto an embroidery needle. Stitch a face onto each color of felt star. Use the French knot and back stitch techniques to create the faces.
Match up each color pair of Kunin® Classic™ Felt Stars. Thread matching embroidery floss on needle and blanket stitch around all but one side of the star.
Stuff each star with Poly-Fil® Premium Polyester Fiber Fill from Fairfield™. Use a stuffing tool or chopstick to get the Poly-Fil into all the nooks and crannies of each star. I prefer a tight stuff for a small project like this.
Stitch each opening on each star closed using the blanket stitch. Secure the embroidery floss with a knot and trim ends close.
Print You Are a Star Pocket Pal Tags onto white cardstock. Cut out tags with scissors using guidelines, trim corners with a corner rounder punch and create a hole at the top of the tag with a hole punch. Thread baker’s twine through the hole in the tag, attach to the point of the Star and finish with a bow.
